H. Aman / Male City

25 January 1959 - 20 February 1960

Biography

Al-Fadhil Kuda Ahmed Maniku was appointed to the atoll chief position of Fuvahmulah on January 25, 1959. His leadership tenure ended on February 20, 1960.

Although appointed to the atoll chief position, he faced many challenges in traveling to Fuvahmulah to carry out his official duties. In this context, while departing from Male to travel to Fuvahmulah, an incident occurred with the boat traveling to Kolhubadhoo, which required him to return to Male.

During that period, Fuvahmulah was also involved in the famous 'Addu Gadhubadu' rebellion in the south, which initiated activities against the Maldivian state, creating additional obstacles to reaching the atoll. As a result, Al-Fadhil Kuda Ahmed Maniku did not get the opportunity to travel to the atoll and take charge of leadership, and he was removed from his position.
