Regarding the standards tourists should maintain in dress and behavior in public spaces during a visit to Fuvahmulah:

The Fuvahmulah City Council has established guidelines for tourists' dress and behavior in public spaces.

Accordingly, tourists staying in guesthouses or homestays must not violate social and moral standards while in the common areas or moving around the island. Tourists must dress in these areas according to the following standards:

1-If male, at minimum a t-shirt and short pants.

2-If female, at minimum a t-shirt, blouse or dress, and skirt or shorts that cover the lower leg area. Thin clothing that reveals the body or a top that exposes the shoulders is not considered appropriate attire.

This information has been shared with guesthouses and dive centers through Circular No. (IUL)468-ESDS/CIR/2022/41.

Therefore, we request that information about parties who act contrary to the standards in this circular be shared with the relevant authorities.
