Main Responsibilities and Duties of the Position: | To monitor daily the quality of construction projects being carried out by the City Council and to prepare reports related to the same To approve construction projects prepared by the Construction Officer of the Council To issue building approval for buildings submitted for approval in accordance with Building Code Upon completion of construction projects by the Council, to conduct inspections related to the quality of those projects and to rectify deficiencies found To issue permits for construction in vacant plots in the island and to verify that buildings constructed in the island comply with Building Codes To review projects sent by the government to Fuvahmulah and to advise the Council regarding the quality of those projects Workers engaged in construction work in Fuvahmulah City should be monitored to ensure they comply with safety standards and appropriate measures should be taken accordingly. Guidelines have been prepared for laying cable networks in the roads of Fuvahmulah City and road networks should be monitored in a systematic manner. Conduct inspections of buildings constructed in Fuvahmulah and ensure their safety. Provide technical support necessary for projects undertaken and planned by the Council. Carry out all administrative and technical work of the Council's department in accordance with the guidance of the Council and the Secretary General of the Council, and supervise and manage them. Be accountable to the Council and the Secretary General for all matters related to the work of the Council's department. |
Qualifications of the Position: | Level 7 or 8 qualification of the National Qualifications Framework in the field related to the work of the position must be obtained. |
