During a three-day official trip, the Mayor of Odawara City, Keiichi Kato, arrived in Fuvahmulah City. Mayor Ismail Rafeeg, along with the Deputy Mayor, Council Members, and City Council staff welcomed him.

This trip by the Odawara City Mayor is in response to an invitation from the Fuvahmulah City Mayor.

During this trip, he will hold official discussions with the Fuvahmulah City Mayor and discuss potential collaborative efforts between the two cities. Specifically, arrangements have been made to discuss the work being done to establish a "Sister City" relationship between Odawara City and Fuvahmulah City.

Additionally, the Mayor of Odawara City will visit important locations in the city and meet with environmental club students from the Ga Atoll Educational Center.
