Regarding the water system issues in Fuvahmulah City
With the repeated concerns raised by residents about the water service problems in Fuvahmulah City, the Council has brought this matter to the attention of all relevant government institutions to resolve the issue.
In this regard, through meetings held with Fenaka Fuvahmulah Branch to identify water system problems, the Council is continuously working to bring the highlighted issues to the attention of relevant government agencies and find a solution. Furthermore, to ensure the safety of water provided to the city's residents, a meeting was held on the fourth day of this month with Utility Regulatory Authority and Fenaka senior officials to discuss related matters.
And during the President Dr. Mohamed Muizz's visit to this city on November 4th, the Council also requested the President to quickly resolve the water issue.
Today (10 November 2025), due to numerous complaints received by the Council about water service interruption in this city, based on the information shared in an urgent meeting with Fenaka tonight, it is estimated that water service restoration will take at least 02 days.
Therefore, we also inform the public that the Council is working to arrange water supply for residents during this period.
The Council deeply regrets the difficulties and hardships residents are experiencing due to water service interruption.
