24 Hour Shop Operating Permit
The 24-hour business operating permit is issued under the Import Goods Trading Regulations, Cafe and Restaurant Operating Regulations, and Canteen Operating Regulations to allow these establishments to remain open 24 hours a day. This permit is granted when certain conditions are met at these establishments.
- Application for 24-hour business operating permit through the Council's official email (info@fuvahmulah.gov.mv)
- The interior of the business premises must be clearly visible from the outside and kept clean
- CCTV cameras must be operational 24 hours a day at the business premises
- The business premises may only sell essential goods needed to fulfill basic necessities
- A '24/7' sign indicating 24-hour service must be displayed visibly on the exterior of the business building
- Under this permit, services must generally be provided 24 hours a day
