Research Permit

This service allows individuals or organisations to obtain a permit to conduct research in Fuvahmulah Nature Park. You can use this service to apply for a new permit or make changes to an existing one.

  • Apply for research permit through the oneGov link provided
  • Individual applicants must submit a research proposal/concept note and CV
  • Organization applicants must submit their registration certificate, endorsement letter, research proposal, and CV
  • Commercial Research Permit fee is MVR 3000 (Students are exempt from this fee)
  • Updates can be requested for changes to research name, purpose, date, or researcher details by submitting an updated proposal
  • Approved applicants will pay via the BandeyriPay portal; permits are processed within 2–3 working days
  • All activities must comply with the Fuvahmulah Protected Area Protection and Conservation Regulation (2018/R-106)
